Salisbury
Salisbury is located at the heart of south Wiltshire with good rail links to and from London, Exeter, Bristol, Wales, the New Forest, South Coast resorts and many tourist attractions - including stately homes and close at hand Stonehenge. It has a resident population of 39,000 and a Salisbury District population of 114,613 (source: 2001 Census).


The city has many tourist attractions of its own, including its world famous cathedral, and also has a thriving shopping centre. It has a theatre, a concert hall, cinema, arts centre, museums, leisure centres, clubs and pubs, district hospital, football stadium and restaurants catering for all tastes.

Salisbury is easily accessible by car. The trains run throughout the day between London (Waterloo) and Exeter via Salisbury with services also to Cardiff, Bristol, Bath, Southampton and Portsmouth. The nearest airports to Salisbury are Southampton and Bournemouth International.

Amesbury
Amesbury lies 8 miles north of Salisbury and is conveniently situated just off the A303 with easy access to London and the South-West. Grately railway station is also on a direct line between Exeter and London Waterloo.

Amesbury has a population of 8,907 (source: 2001 Census) and the town has a good range of facilities including shops, hotels, public houses, churches, doctors, dental practices, library and recreation ground.
